An undefeated season?

Finally, a blog where I can talk about my favorite team, the Packers. It was hard to mention them because although they play amazing games, I strongly prefer more unexpected games. This week, there weren't that many interesting games, so I'm just going to write about the current Packers season. It's really amazing because this year you have so many undefeated teams who in the last season, were at the bottom of the leaderboard. The reason why I am going to write this blog on the Packers is because of how well they are doing without one of their main players, Jordy Nelson. In the past few seasons, he was playing amazingly, but due to an injury he hasn't been playing for quite a while. But even without them, the Packers are undefeated with a win/loss ratio of 6-0.
The past 6 games have been amazing, but have been very close. In almost every game the score ends with the Packers winning by one or two touchdowns. Although they are playing amazingly, they would be doing a lot better with Jordy Nelson, but right now at the rate that they are going they might have a chance in the playoff season. Although other teams are also 6-0, the Packers are missing key institutions of their team. One of their best tight ends is injured, and once he comes back they will be doing a lot better than they already are.
The interesting part about this season's leaderboard is how all the underdogs are on the top. Maybe this season the playoffs and the Super Bowl will be consisting of two underdog teams, but who knows. In football, nothing will ever be as it seems.

The Battle of the Birds and Lions

If you guys had to say off the top of your head who win in a head to head battle, a lion or a bird, what would you say? If my assumptions are correct, you would say a lion, but not in this case. In the NFL, nothing will seem as expected.
The Cardinals went against the Lions in a head to head battle, but not in the wilderness, they did it at a football arena. The Arizona Cardinals went up against the Detroit Lions and ended up played an amazing game. These teams are both considered not the best, but they both put on one of the best games this week, but only in my opinion. Let me break it down for you.
In the duration of the first quarter, both teams played defensively and ended up with the Lions scoring, ending the quarter 7-0. After playing the first quarter, both teams went on full attack mode, but the Cardinals did not allow this at all. In the second quarter, the Cardinals played amazingly both on offense and on defense. In the second quarter itself, the Cardinals stopped the Lions from scoring any points, and ended up scoring 28 points themselves, finishing off the first half of the game with the score of 28-7.
In the second half, the same thing happened as the first quarter. In the third quarter, the Cardinals scored one touchdown and didn't let the Lions score. They ended up coming into the fourth quarter 35-7. In the fourth quarter, both teams had their fair share of scoring touchdowns and field goals in favor of both of the teams, but after all the scoring and all the turnovers, the fourth quarter ended with a score of 42-17. Although both teams played well, in every match there is only one true victor. This was one of the great games this week played, and I can't wait for the unexpected turn of events that occur next week.

Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!

Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! The only corporation that literally own's a day of the week. Can you guess what sport it is today? That's right, football! This Sunday although there were many good games, one stood out. The New York Giants versus the Dallas Cowboys. In the first quarter, the Giants tied with the Cowboys 3-3. After an intense and amazing second quarter, the Giants took the lead with a fumble by the Cowboys ending the second quarter with a score of 13-6. With the adrenaline on the Giants side, the Cowboys came back strong, scoring 7 points and holding the Giants down to only 3 points that quarter. With the help of an amazing kicker and defense, as well as a strong offense, the score of the third quarter become's 16-13 in the Giants favor. After the performance of the Giants, you would think they would win, but 7 minutes into the fourth quarter they have an amazing run to score a touchdown, making the score 23-13 in the Giants favor. I guess most people just said that's the game, and left, but the Cowboys didn't let that happen. They came back with Jason Witten scoring a touchdown strong and powerful, putting the Cowboys in a bad spot, but still in the game. As the score is 23-20, the Giants score a field goal making the score 26-20. But Tony Romo throws a great passwith a game winning 11 yard pass to Jason Witten, giving the Cowboys a win in this game.  This left the fans in awe, and putting the confidence in the Cowboys.

The Underdogs Strike Back!

The Houston Texans have some of the strongest players such as J.J Watt and a huge fan base. And not to be rude, the Atlanta Falcons don't have the best team in the world. And as it always goes, you can imagine who won the game. That's right, not the Texans. The Falcons beat the Texans 48-21 with an amazing defense and a tactical offense.
The first quarter went by slowly and ended with the Falcons scoring one touchdown. The new score was 7-0 and would only get higher. After nothing happened after that play, they went into the second quarter. Less than one minute into the quarter, the Falcons score raising the score to 14-0. And on defense after a huge tackle made by the Falcons they recover the ball. And of course they get another touchdown off that turnover making the score 21-0. After the ball was turned over multiple times, the Falcons score again finishing the first half 28-0, not letting the Texans even get clos to scoring a touchdown.
In the third quarter the Falcons continued playing amazing, holding the Texans back and scoring two touchdowns for them, ending off the third quarter 42-0. Now, into the final quarter. The Texans came back holding nothing back playing great, but not great enough. They scored again and again and again turning the score into 21-42, but didn't have enough time to win the game. And the way the Falcons ended off the game was amazing. After a hard hit, the Falcons recover the fumble and get a touchdown after running 84 yards to the touchdown zone, ending off the game 21-48. This was an amazing game and I can not wait until the next amazing game that will take place. You never know what to expect from the underdogs.

Almost Flawless. So Close!

What would you do if you beat a team that contains some of the best players in the league by 40 points? Celebrate, I would too. So I hope the Arizona Cardinals are having their fair share of fun. They beat the San Francisco 49ers 47-7. Although everybody played well, the Cardinals played strong and hard and overall amazing. Let me break it down for you all.
Let's talk about the first quarter. The Cardinals played amazing on offense and defense getting two touchdowns off interceptions. Although Colin Kaepernick is an amazing quarterback, we all have a bad day. The Cardinals held the 49ers back, ending the first quarter 14-0 giving the Cardinals the lead they will never lose.
In the second quarter the 49ers tried but just couldn't succeed. They scored one touchdown making the score 14-7, but the Cardinals still maintain the lead. And just as they think they are back in the game the Cardinals score 17 points just like that. Chris Johnson, the Cardinals running back, scored two touchdowns, and their kicker, Chandler Catanzaro scored 3 points turning the score from 14-7 into 31-7.
Although the third quarter wasn't that great and neither was the fourth quarter. The Cardinals scored 16 all together and held the 49ers to 0 points finishing the game 47-7. An amazing game played by the Cardinals and I can't wait for more games as intense as this.

The Giants had a giant game!

Although I am a Packers fan, I just have to give props to the New York Giants. After taking that loss from the Cowboys, they bounce back up with an amazing game against the Washington Redskins. They fought very hard and played very smart when they had control of the ball and when they defended it. Let me tell you what happened.
In the first quarter, with a strong defense and a well played offense, the Giants held back the Redskins, ending the first quarter 12-0 in the favor of the Giants. Starting the game of with an amazing start, the Giants go into the second quarter ready, but so do the Redskins. The Redskins come back strong against the Giants, but the Giants fight back. With the quarter neck and neck, the Redskins gain 6, and hold the Giants back to only 3 points. This ends the first half 15-6, with the Giants having the lead. The third quarter was played well by both teams, ending with the Giants only scoring 3 points. Now, into the fourth quarter. This was super intense. It was touchdown after touchdown and again and again. What a time to be a football fan. The Redskins gained 15 points in that 15 minutes. But, the Giants gained 14 points cancelling out the Redskins. This was an amazing game and I can not wait until another game as intense as this.
